Culture
Challenging and Competing
We strive to be the best at whatever we do. Mediocrity serves no one well. We believe it is important to embrace the challenges that lie ahead. There is no strength accumulated without pushing ourselves to the limits in the pursuit of excellence. It's not so much the recognition of being the best that is all-important, but the character and intestinal fortitude developed in this process that we value. We believe that it is honorable to not quit until the job is finished. We take pride in going the extra mile and making ourselves better than we were yesterday.
Teamwork and Collaboration
People. Most of our lives are filled with interactions with other people. Our memories, experiences, and who we are is significant only in the context of others. We believe that it is important to study and develop the mindset and skills necessary to succeed in the context of how it affects the larger group. We apply this ideology regularly through collaborating in various team projects. We know that the belief in the power of people and human spirit can serve as a catalyst to reaching our full potential. We strive to bring our many different talents together in order to contribute and accomplish astronomical goals that would not be possible alone.
Leading and Initiating
We set out to have a Positive Impact all around us. The true measure of your value to an organization is not title or rank, but the amount of positive influence that radiates from you. In order to lead up, down, and across in an organization, it is essential to be goal-oriented, genuine and passionate. Being proactive means not being afraid to put ideas into action. No idea is ever a "bad idea". It is a good idea that only needs refinement through the help of others. This is a place where academic theory meets a real life setting and we have an opportunity to "make a difference" in the surrounding communities.
Productivity and a Results Orientation
We believe it is not enough to talk about big dreams. We strive to run them down and make our dreams achievable through orchestrating an organized game plan. In order to measure our progress, we preach trying to break down the project into measurable and quantifiable components. We desire to execute at the highest level and accomplish what we set out to do from the outset. For this reason, we remain humble and know that there is never one traditional way to do things. We are always looking to improve in every area. We are trying to find the best way to get from Point A to Point B at every point in time. This brings us to our next salient topic, the infinite potential and creativity of the human mind.
Innovation and Originality
We value people for who they are. We also value intellectual capital in general. We realize that people come from unique backgrounds and have experienced situations in life differently. Therefore, it is only logical to assume that our people can offer many different insightful perspectives. It should come as no surprise that we try to stay diverse - Liberal Arts, Business, and Engineering majors all working together. We don't want people to be anyone but their selves. Traditional or eccentric, we hope you feel at home. We don.t believe in a "cookie cutter" approach to any one problem. We encourage each other to think outside the box and look at issues critically and logically. The preservation and encouragement of these ideals is how innovation occurs.
Adaptability and Flexibility
Even the best plans go awry. We must cope with change and ambiguity throughout our lifetimes. Moments of opportunity must be seized at the proper time. This emphasis on the ability to shift gears at a moment.s notice is something that we are both cognizant of and pride ourselves in.
Chillness and Friendship
We are in college. As much as we may worry about the future, we strongly believe in living in the now. In our organization, having fun and building relationships is just as important as producing results. It's not just what you learn here. It's also the experience of developing genuine and enduring friendships. Spending time with great people for intrinsic enjoyment truly sums what the University of Notre Dame is all about. From top to bottom, the Entrepreneur's Society is a family where everyone can assume the best in others.
A Holistic and Balanced Outlook
We know that everything in life is interconnected. Business is just one component to leading a happy, fulfilling, and successful life. We encourage each other to put things in perspective and to evaluate their life's direction from time to time.
Who are you? What is most important to you? What are you passionate about? How do you define success? How will you make a difference in whatever you do? How will you give back?

Why Entrepreneurship Society?
"I wanted to become more involved in business-related clubs and the name sounded interesting. I really had no idea what to expect. I started with taking a plunge with a case study on Facebook, which opened numerous doors for my future leadership involvement. Through that project, I met quite a few new people and members in the club. From that point on, I wanted to be part of it. This past spring, I was the Intra-School relations officer where I worked with the "Road Show" by spreading the brand name in classrooms and to dorms. Now I'm working on other marketing-related initiatives. The club has been a great experience to meet people and improve my personal and professional skills at multiple levels."
