Entrepreneur Magazine and the Princeton Review Reveal the Nation’s Top 50 Business Schools: Gigot Center Entrepreneurship Programs Rank Top 25 Nationwide
Directors of the Notre Dame Gigot Center of Entrepreneurial Studies Award the winners of the Annual Business Plan Competition
Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review surveyed more than 900 undergraduate and business schools about their offerings in entrepreneurship and released today the 5th annual ranking of the top graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship programs in the nation. A total of 50 schools, 25 undergraduate and 25 graduate schools, made the list. The Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is extremely pleased to announce that our undergraduate program in entrepreneurship moves up to #13 (from #21 in 2006) for the 2007 Top 25 Entrepreneurial Programs: Undergraduate Colleges. Our MBA program debuts at #25 for the list of the 2007 Top 25 Entrepreneurial Programs: Graduate Business Schools.
All 900 schools surveyed were evaluated based on key criteria in the areas of academics and requirements, students and faculty, and outside-the-classroom support and experiences. Schools that ranked high demonstrated a commitment to entrepreneurship both inside and outside the classroom and had faculty, students and alumni actively involved and successful in entrepreneurial endeavors.
As the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies moves into its 10th year, there is much pride and a tremendous sense of accomplishment surrounding the incredible growth and success that has taken place in this inaugural decade,” said the former Associate Director. “A strong curriculum was built and remains under constant revision and continual improvement. Outstanding experiential student programs bring the real world to our students: these include entrepreneurial internships that span the globe and the Notre Dame Business Plan Competitions, which have spawned numerous successful business ventures. Among our peer entrepreneurship centers we are considered thought leaders – particularly in two areas: social entrepreneurship, where our new Microventuring program is of particular note, and also our alumni outreach program, the IrishAngels, which have been benchmarked by our peers continually throughout its evolution from 2000 to today.”
