Personal

Christian is the lone member from Hawaii and majors in both Finance and Economics. Christian has worked at Merrill Lynch the last two summers. He hopes to pursue a career in Private Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Leisure and Hotels, or Consumer Retail Groups. Since his freshman year, he has been extremely involved in extracurricular activities at Notre Dame, including his position as an President for the Investment Club and Finance Club. During his free time, Christian enjoys following the stock market, playing video games, and working out.

"I feel privleged to be part of a genuine and enthusiastic group of people who are motivated to make this organization recognized in national business circles for years to come. The meetings are enjoyable and the humor is awesome. I joined the Entrepreneurship Society to bring out my entrepreneurial ideas that usually remain stuck in my head. It's a place for me to develop the essential thought and decision making processes required for a career related field in business. It's a place for me to grow into the CEO that I may become one day."

Roles and Organizational Accomplishments

  • Persistent, devoted, and personable approach led to appointment as officer for 07-08 year.
  • Revamped organization's administrative practices as the VP of Administration.
  • As a project leader of the Invention Convention, led a team in helping youths improve their business plans.
  • Enjoys helping with the Invention Convention and likes assisting in making business plans come to fruition. He feels that helping children gives everyone a better understanding of different lifestyles and backgrounds that people live in.

Personal

Vijen majors in both Mathematics and Finance and is a regular on the Dean's List. Vijen grew up in Barrington, IL and has worked at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs the last two summers. He plans to actively pursue the investment banking field, but hopes to start an entrepreneurial venture abroad, specifically in Asia in the long-term. He finds venture capitalism, private equity, and even teaching as viable options in the future. He previously served as the Founder and President of the Actuarial Sciences Club at Notre Dame. Vijen was a 3 sport athlete in high school. He continues to enjoy playing tennis, golf, and basketball in his free time. He is a die-hard Chicago Bears fan.

I joined the to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the school, and hopefully over time we can experience the struggles that come with starting an enterprise. Personal

Kevin is a Finance and Spanish major who regularly qualifies for the Dean's List. Kevin grew up in Orland Park, IL and worked at General Electrics this past summer. Kevin aspires to pursue a career in investment banking, consulting, law, or entrepreneurship. As a freshman, Kevin narrowly missed winning the Class of 2009's presidential election. He currently is O'Neil Hall's officer for green technology. Kevin will be studying abroad in Mexico in the spring of 2008. In his free time, Kevin enjoys training for marathons, reading, and "chilling". Kevin has had several relatives, including his father, graduate from Notre Dame.

Why Entrepreneurship Society?

"I was originally drawn to the Entrepreneurship Club by the prospect of building something that would last for academic posterity. In essence, all that we have done structurally has been in itself entrepreneurship, because we have no template for success and no manual to follow. We have a very dynamic culture within the club, and I am confident that we will continue to progress in size and in the scope of our activities."

Roles and Organizational Accomplishments

  • Helped lead the initial project team in composing of the initial 32 page mission, vision, and strategic planning statement during the summer of 2006.
  • Identified, recruited, and unified top talent in assembling a management team.
  • Specialized time at the operational level in running meetings in the Fall of '06.
  • Guided one-day projects that have brought in profits in excess of $1000.
  • As President, led a team that competed in SIFE's Duel of the Dairyland in January of 2007.
  • Initiated and oversaw strategic decisions in all areas during stint as President.
  • Built enduring relationships with Gigot Center of Entrepreneurial Studies and the Notre Dame MBA Entrepreneurship Club.
